- Percussion Ensemble at this year's Jazzy Drums and Guard Café!
- Great concert last night... Class of 2013 will be missed.
- Congratulations to all of the band members that were honored tonight at the annual PRIDE Banquet! This years recipients include Brittany Blankenburg, Rebecca Greaney, Liz Hilt, and Abby Layer.
- Senior members of the Lowell Wind Ensemble today at ISSMA State Qualifications... wonderful performance, Gold Rating with a Gold in Sight-reading, and a great finale to the end of our seniors' competitive ISSMA careers.
- Continuing the success of our first night, we have more great news... the Lowell Concert Band performed this morning and also received solid GOLDS from all of the adjudicators. That makes us 8 for 8 for Gold Medals with our Intermediate Bands! Nicely done!
- What an amazing first day of our band hosting this year's ISSMA contest! The parents and students did amazing and a big thanks to the choir students for jumping on board and helping us tonight. To add to the good vibes... the Lowell Symphonic Band received Gold Ratings from all four judges! That means that the Lowell Band Department has yet again locked in an ISSMA All Music Award for this year, making it an unbelievable seven years in a row that we have all worked together to earn superior results at our all types of adjudicated performances... marching, jazz, solo and ensemble, and concert band. Remarkable!!!!

- Another congratulations is in store for the Lowell 8th Grade Band and Mr. G for their amazing Group I performance at today's ISSMA Organizational Contest!! The band received a GOLD for their outstanding musicianship! Great job!!!
- Congratulations to the Lowell Middle School 7th Grade Band and Mr. Govert on an outstanding performance today at the ISSMA Organizational Contest! The band received a solid GOLD for their performance... well done!! And a HUGE thanks goes out to the parents that chaperoned and helped with the equipment... you would be surprised but it is difficult to find people brave enough to ride the bus, watch home rooms, and handle 120 young adults on a Saturday (for free!!)
- BOOSTER MEETING and ATLANTA TRIP MEETING: any parent that has a student in the Lowell Middle School or Lowell High School BAND or GUARD programs is invited to join in at the monthly TRI CREEK BAND BOOSTER MEETING this upcoming Tuesday in the LHS Band Room at 7pm... THEN the parents and students going to Atlanta over Spring Break will have a brief pre-trip meeting starting after (approx 8:00) to go over agenda, expectations, etc. This meeting should last no longer than 45 mins. Thank you!
- Parents: The Trash Bag Fundraiser is in!! Students can collect their boxes at school at any time and we have taken inventory and all sizes have been collated for accuracy. Contact Mr. Killion (LMRDBand@gmail.com) or Misty Vendl (tcbbpresident@gmail.com) with any questions.
- Been meaning to post this one for a while... a panoramic of the LHS Jazz Ensemble members warmin' up for the ISSMA Jazz performance at LaPorte on March 2. By the way... the band received a solid GOLD Rating! Nicely done!
- Thank you to all the LMS Band parents for understanding the need to push the time up for this evening's performance. We hope to never make scheduling mistakes, especially with only a few days notice, but unfortunately it still happens. It is great to know though that when it does, we have parents that understand and help make it work!
- Congratulations to the LMS Band Department and Mr. Govert for an awesome concert this evening! Also good luck to each of the 7th Grade and 8th Grade band students performing this weekend at the ISSMA Organizational contest.
- Good Morning Lowell Band Family!! Don't forget to come out this evening and join in on the Annual Spaghetti Spectacular at the Lowell High School Cafeteria! The event starts at 4:00pm and ends at 8:00pm and the cost is $8 for adults, $6 for kids 6 to 12, and 5-under is free! The LMS and LHS Jazz Bands will perform as well as dozens of solos and ensemble performances... what a night!!!
- Congratulations on a great ISSMA Solo and Ensemble weekend to the LMS and LHS Band Departments! Several excellent performances and lots of proud moms, dads, and directors! All in all, we have 12 soloists and 65 ensemble performers traveling to ISSMA State Solo and Ensemble Contest in a few weeks. We wish them good luck and RDP!
